Did you know buying local helps strengthen the livelihood of our community? That it grows our local economy and allows these small businesses to continue providing one-of-a-kind goods?
It’s all true! Shopping the products and services of local small businesses helps sustain the community’s presence and character - with an emphasis on who they’re made by, and for whom they’re made.
The owners of these businesses are our fellow neighbors, so they understand the community’s needs and values, especially when the community comes up against bigger industries that often push folks out in the name of profit.
Shopping local and small instead supports the idea of growing and building together.
It’s rooted in the notion of “for us, by us” - where businesses get to represent our community and the community comes out in support.

ClarizeYale is a San Francisco-born Pinay artist who creates portraits and illustrations based on her Filipino roots and American upbringing.

First and Last Candles are a women-led business that create unique art pieces in the form of handmade, all-natural candles that brighten up any space.

Geo-Ya are goods made be Geo Monjes, a San Francisco-based digital illustrator and designer. Through clothing, prints and stickers, Geo-Ya offers an array of original/anime-inspired art.

HABIness is a Pinay-owned business offering unique handwoven and handcrafted creations by Indigenous and traditional Filipina/o weavers and artisans.
