Bayanihan Boxing is a program focused on communal health and fitness through the sport of boxing. In this program, participants will learn the fundamentals of footwork, defense and offense. With elements of community-building, mitt work and conditioning, they will develop further by teaching others what they are learning.
Bayanihan Boxing emphasizes each participant's holistic well-being during these times. Our program is a great way to strengthen one's presence of mind, management of anxiety, and self-defense skills. We will awaken and sharpen your creativity, listening, observation, responsiveness, emotional awareness, speed, quickness, stamina, endurance and power. We welcome participants of all levels, from beginners to competitors

Our program will be on Thursdays, 5-6:30pm until July 29th. We encourage participants to attend our classes as consistently as possible, and train regularly outside of our program, to see progress in their boxing skills and overall health. Stay in the process, and you'll notice the progress!
If you are learning the fundamentals of boxing for the first time – meaning you are yet to be instructed by an experienced trainer on the fundamentals of the boxing stance, footwork, as well as foundational defensive and offensive moves, you are required to take an hour-long introductory session before your first class. This session would be at 4pm, before your 5pm class. It is recommended to anyone who would like a refresher, or would like to improve on their knowledge of boxing fundamentals. Participants are also welcome to take the introductory session again if they'd like to or need to, or if the instructor suggests them to. A key step to advancing, is returning to the basics!
