Join us for Many Styles, a series of Filipino martial arts classes led by local Bay Area practitioners
Each class will take place every weekend!
Learn the basics of Filipino martial arts in an inclusive and safe space. Whether your goals are to exercise, learn a new skill, or be part of a community, we'll hold space for you.
Classes open to ages 7+. No equipment or experience necessary.
All participants are welcomed to bring their own equipment to practice with!

3/13 Derobio Eskrima with Maestro Alvin Albano
Mandala Mandirigma’s Doble Cada techniques apply Derobio’s passing concepts in the context of double weapons such as two sticks or two swords.
Students will work on developing ambidexterity and coordination during partner drills using rattan sticks, as well as seeing real life application of concepts.
3/20 ESKABO Daan with Master Joseph Bautista

Joseph will be showing double stick patterns known as a sinawali and show how they can be used and translated in empty hand application for self-defense.
3/27 Latosa Escrima with Master Cedric Concon
The curriculum of this class will be the transition between weapons to empty hands. It is very important to understand the different types of weapons that you may use: is it an impact weapon or a cutting/edged weapon? We will look at the different techniques and concepts. We will explore the best possible ways to position yourself utilizing off lining, foot movement, hand movement, range, timing, power, speed, etc.
